“Triple Bronze” by Robert Frost 🇺🇸 (26 Mar 1874 – 29 Jan 1963)
The Infinite’s being so wide
Is the reason the Powers provide
For inner defense my hide.
For next defense outside.

I make myself this time
Of wood or granite or lime
A wall too hard for crime
Either to breach or climb.

Then a number of us agree
On a national boundary.
And that defense makes three
Between too much and me.
