“Cabby” by Reed Whittemore 🇺🇸 (11 Sep 19196 Apr 2012)
“In all this mad
Am I the only sane,”
Thinks each mad cabby cruising the night-dazzle.
He dreams of rural meters ticking,
Grass streets.
He would end his Checkered career
In a bathysphere,
And peer through tinted glass at fish and coral,
Not men:
The cabby’s moral.
